Begin with a visit to an Uzbek village, where you’ll stay in a local home and experience traditional hospitality. Enjoy an easy to moderate hike through the Nuratau Mountains, taking in sweeping views of the Kyzyl-Kum Desert and lush valleys.
Relax at a modern yurt camp, complete with traditional-style yurts, hot showers, a restaurant, and even an outdoor pool. Continue to Lake Aydarkul to explore its serene shoreline, then stop by historic Nurata on your way to Bukhara. Perfect for all hiking levels, this tour offers a true connection to nature and village life in rural Uzbekistan.
Itenerary
Day 1 – Bukhara – Sayyod Yurt Camp
* The tour can be started from Samarkand as well.
At 9:00 AM, set off from your hotel towards the scenic Sayyod Yurt Camp located in the Nuratau Mountains. Along the way, stop at Nurata city to explore the historic remains of the Nurata fortress, believed to have been built by Alexander the Great. Visit the sacred spring nearby, an important local pilgrimage site. Next, head to Lake Aydarkul, a significant natural habitat attracting numerous bird species. Enjoy a leisurely walk by the lake or, weather permitting, take a refreshing swim. Afterwards, continue your journey to Sayyod Yurt Camp, where you'll stay overnight in one of 11 traditional yurts, each furnished with 2–4 beds. The camp provides convenient amenities including an onsite restaurant, shower and toilet facilities, and an outdoor swimming pool.

Day 2 – Hiking & Village Exploration
After an early breakfast, begin your guided full-day hike to the scenic mountain plateau. The route takes you through valleys, up onto the plateau, and then back down through lush greenery, providing stunning views over the Kyzyl-Kum desert, Lake Aydarkul, and local villages. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the hike. Later, visit the village of Sayyod, where you'll experience authentic rural life by observing local farming practices, animal husbandry, and daily tasks. Interact with friendly villagers, gaining insight into their traditions and lifestyle.

Day 3 – Sayyod Yurt Camp – Samarkand
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed hike with beautiful views of the Nuratau Mountains and Lake Aydarkul. Return to the camp for lunch before departing for Samarkand. Your journey concludes in Samarkand in the late afternoon.
